Its color and its powerful effect remind me of an object I once possessed called "The Long Green Fingernail". It was a plastic toy I got from a gumball dispenser in Detroit, a long, brilliant green plastic talon. Worn fitted over one's fingertip, it enabled one to do magic. It was lost somewhere between Detroit, Mississippi and New York.
